Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will engage in extensive finance and tax transformations, aiding clients in optimising their tax functions through SAP by automating and enhancing the operations of multinational tax departments. You will play a pivotal role in developing a skilled team, ensuring activities are carried out with a focus on quality and commercial value.

Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Delivering large-scale projects and programs related to ERP implementations and transformations.
  • Translating key indirect tax processes into ERP requirements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional tax and consulting teams.
  • Contributing to thought leadership on Indirect Tax and ERP applications.
  • Building and mentoring team members to expand our practice.
  • Delivering high-quality work aligned with business metrics.
  • Proficiency in ERP delivery methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile).

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field; or a master’s in Accounting, Tax Technology, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science.
  • Experience in ERP (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft D365) and Indirect Tax implementations.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong interest in technology and its business applications.
  • Excellent communication and business writing skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Proven capability in capturing and synthesising business requirements.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and manage client-facing projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of tax accounting and major tax processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Approved technical certification.
  • Experience with third-party indirect tax systems (e.g., ONESOURCE, Vertex, Avalara, Meridian).
  • Experience in defining data and reporting needs for indirect tax.
  • Experience managing large, multidisciplinary projects with tax implications.
