About the Role
Opportunity in a Leading Professional Services firm.
This firm is seeking a dynamic and seasoned Director to manage a private client tax portfolio, with a focus on both compliance and advisory services. This position involves leading project workflows, driving revenue growth, ensuring profitability, and building long-lasting client relationships. The ideal candidate will also be instrumental in team development and actively contribute to strategic planning efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of private clients, specialising in personal tax, and delivering a range of tax services.
- Identify tax-sensitive expenditures and broader tax matters, providing expert advice to clients.
- Coordinate with clients to address queries and ensure timely submission of required information.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to deadlines, particularly for HMRC compliance.
- Contribute to the leadership of the Private Client Tax team by actively engaging with team members, conducting performance appraisals, and coaching staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Oversee and monitor own productivity, utilisation, and work-in-progress to achieve operational goals.
- Offer guidance and constructive feedback to team members, fostering a supportive and efficient work environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Professional qualification (CTA, ACA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) is essential.
- Extensive experience in personal/private client tax or mixed tax, gained within a practice setting.
- Strong technical expertise, with the capability to research complex tax legislation.
- Proficiency in trust and inheritance tax matters.
- Experience across multiple sectors is advantageous, reflecting the diverse client base of this firm.
