This firm is looking for an experienced R&D Tax Senior Manager to join their team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide specialised guidance on the tax implications of share options and various forms of employee share ownership. The position also involves offering comprehensive expertise in areas like EMI (Enterprise Management Incentives), ESS (Employee Share Schemes), and reward taxation, along with related fields such as employment tax, National Insurance Contributions (NIC), and capital gains tax.

The role involves preparing share valuations, liaising with HMRC, and managing a team while mentoring junior staff. Additionally, the role requires an awareness of the accounting, employment law, and company law implications of share incentives and direct client engagement, including fee agreements.

KEY DUTIES:
- Advising on the tax treatment of share options and other forms of employee share ownership
- Providing expertise on EMI, ESS, and reward tax, including employment, NIC, and capital gains tax
- Offering guidance on split interest, freezer, and nil paid arrangements
- Preparing share valuations and liaising with HMRC
- Managing and mentoring junior staff
- Engaging directly with clients, including agreeing on fees

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive experience in advising on the tax treatment of share options and employee share ownership
- In-depth knowledge of EMI, ESS, and reward tax, as well as related areas such as employment, NIC, and capital gains tax
- Proven expertise in split interest, and nil paid arrangements
- Demonstrated experience in preparing share valuations and liaising with HMRC
- Strong staff management and mentoring skills
