About the Role

Opportunity in a Big 4 firm.

This firm seeks a Tax Manager to join them.  The primary responsibility of this role is to provide expert tax advisory services across various alternative asset classes, including hedge funds, private equity funds, credit funds, and real estate. The Tax Manager will work with market-leading UK-based businesses, US inbounds, and established UK, European, and global asset managers. The role involves significant cross-border tax advisory services and support with transactional matters, aligning with the firm's ambitious growth targets.

Key Duties:

- Delivering technically complex and demanding tax advisory projects across fund tax, international tax, UK corporation tax, UK income tax, capital gains tax, and other relevant tax matters.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients, becoming their trusted advisor.
- Supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff to aid their development.
- Managing the team in terms of strategy, operations, and staff development.
- Proactively engaging in business development to secure new work.
- Interacting with HM Revenue & Customs and other third parties, including major financial institutions, lawyers, and wealth advisory businesses.

Qualifictions:

- Wealth and Asset Management tax experience within an accounting or law firm.
- Familiarity with the alternative asset management/private assets industry, particularly hedge funds, private equity funds, and credit funds.
- Experience across a range of fund tax matters, including fund formation, acquisitions and disposals of assets, reorganisations, and asset management structures.
- Proficiency in UK corporate tax and/or partnership matters.
- Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to develop quality outputs for clients.
