About the Role
Opportunity in a Fast-growing Top-tier Accounting firm.
This firm seeks an Employment Tax Manager to join them. This role is pivotal in ensuring the firm's compliance with employment tax regulations while providing expert guidance on tax matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing employment tax risks, advising on employee benefits, and ensuring payroll tax compliance. Additionally, the role involves liaising with HMRC, conducting tax audits, and supporting the firm's clients with employment tax queries and planning.
KEY DUTIES:
- Providing expert advice on employment tax matters to both internal teams and clients
- Managing and mitigating employment tax risks, including compliance with PAYE and NIC regulations
- Overseeing payroll tax compliance and ensuring accurate reporting
- Conducting tax audits and liaising with HMRC on employment tax issues
- Advising on employee benefits, including share schemes and expense policies
- Supporting clients with employment tax planning and resolving complex tax queries
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS ROLE INCLUDE:
- Extensive experience in employment tax within a professional services environment
- Strong knowledge of PAYE, NIC, and other employment tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage tax audits and liaise with HMRC effectively
- Excellent advisory skills with the ability to communicate complex tax matters clearly
- Professional qualification such as CTA, ACA, or equivalent
