About the Role
Opportunity in a Fast-growing Top-tier Accounting firm.
This firm is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to play a key role in the effective delivery of audit engagements. The successful candidates will take ownership of day-to-day audit activities, ensure timely identification and communication of key issues to the Audit Manager, provide guidance and training to junior team members, and ensure files are completed to a high standard, on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and complete audit planning documentation in line with internal procedures.

Coordinate scheduling of audit engagements in collaboration with the Audit Manager.

Plan, allocate, and oversee work assigned to junior team members, ensuring complex tasks are prioritised and support is provided as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.

Identify and escalate incomplete client deliverables and ensure issues are brought to the Audit Manager’s attention.

Ensure audits are completed within agreed timelines and to a high professional standard.

Provide on-the-job coaching, formal feedback, and post-engagement debriefings to junior team members.

Build and maintain effective working relationships with client personnel while on-site, acting as a professional and reliable point of contact.

Track and report variances between budgeted and actual hours, highlighting scope changes or overruns to the Audit Manager promptly.

Maintain open communication with client contacts regarding progress and emerging issues, while upholding strict confidentiality.

Review draft tax computations and provisions, liaising with tax specialists for finalisation as necessary.

Prepare draft financial statements to a high standard, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality control procedures.

Previous experience in a similar role within audit or professional services is highly desirable.
