This firm is searching for a Senior Manager to join its Transaction Tax team. The successful candidate will provide tax structuring advice and lead tax due diligence assignments across both buy-side and sell-side transactions, working with private equity and corporate clients.

The Role
As a Senior Manager, you will:
- Lead client discussions and present findings to clients and legal advisers, while managing relationships with the target company's management team.
- Work closely with Financial Due Diligence (FDD) and SPA Advisory teams to ensure tax work is fully integrated with the wider transaction advisory process.
- Lead tax due diligence meetings with target businesses, oversee analysis and review reports to ensure work is accurate, robust and commercially relevant before final partner/director review.
- Prepare and review tax structuring reports based on proposed acquisition structures, assessing key tax implications in line with the commercial objectives of each transaction.
- Contribute across all aspects of transactions, including reviewing forecast models, funds flows and relevant legal documentation.
- Build strong relationships across the wider firm and international network, identifying opportunities across Transaction Advisory Services, Corporate Finance and international member firms.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key external contacts, including private equity funds, corporate clients, law firms and intermediaries, supporting business development across the team.
- Contribute to business development activity, including researching opportunities, preparing proposals and participating in presentations to prospective clients.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring accurate and timely billing, effective fee collection and appropriate management of outstanding debtors.
- Undertake and produce high-quality technical tax research, drawing on legislation, tax authority guidance and relevant technical resources.
- Lead, support and develop team members through ongoing coaching, training and professional development.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified chartered accountant or tax adviser, holding ACA, CA, CTA, ADIT or an equivalent qualification, and will have a strong grounding in UK taxation.
Experience in some or all of the following areas would be advantageous:
- UK corporation tax compliance and/or M&A tax experience.
- Exposure to a broader range of tax matters, such as transfer pricing, R&D, VAT, employment taxes, stamp duty and share transactions/share option schemes.
- Strong client-handling and project management experience, with a proven ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships.
- Demonstrable experience advising on complex and technical tax matters.
- The ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously, prioritise effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience preparing client-facing and transaction documentation.
