Opportunity in a Leading National Practice.
This firm is searching for a Manager to join its growing Transaction Tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified tax professional to work across a broad range of transactions, providing tax structuring advice and undertaking tax due diligence for private equity and corporate clients.
The role will involve exposure to both buy-side and sell-side transactions, with potential opportunities to work on public company transactions, including those involving AIM and the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.

The Role
As a Manager, Transaction Tax, you can expect to:
- Lead discussions with clients, legal advisers and other transaction stakeholders, presenting findings and building strong client relationships.
- Work closely with Financial Due Diligence (FDD), SPA Advisory and other Transaction Advisory Services teams to deliver a joined-up approach across transactions.
- Lead due diligence meetings with target businesses and oversee the resulting analysis, ensuring reports are accurate, robust and commercially focused.
- Prepare and review tax structuring reports based on proposed acquisition structures, assessing key tax implications in line with the commercial objectives of each transaction.
- Contribute to all aspects of the transaction process, including reviewing forecast models, funds flows and relevant legal documentation.
- Build strong internal relationships across Transaction Advisory Services, Corporate Finance and international member firms to identify and develop opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with private equity funds, corporate clients, law firms and intermediaries, supporting business development activity.
- Assist with the preparation of proposals and presentations for prospective clients and contribute to wider business development initiatives.
- Manage project budgets, ensuring accurate and timely billing, effective fee collection and appropriate management of outstanding debtors.
- Undertake high-quality technical tax research using legislation, tax authority guidance and internal technical resources.
- Support the development and training of junior members of the team, helping to build technical capability and transaction experience.
This firm is looking for a qualified chartered accountant or tax adviser, such as ACA, CA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent, with a strong grounding in UK taxation.
Ideally, you will bring some of the following experience:
- Experience in UK corporation tax compliance and/or M&A or transaction tax.
- Exposure to a range of tax areas, which may include transfer pricing, R&D, VAT, employment taxes, stamp duty, share transactions or share option schemes.
- Proven experience in client relationship management and project management.
- Strong technical tax knowledge and demonstrable experience advising on complex tax matters.
- The ability to manage multiple deliverables, prioritise effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging with clients, advisers and senior stakeholders.
- Good Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience preparing client-facing and transaction-related documentation.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of multidisciplinary transaction teams.
