Opportunity in a Big 4 firm.

This firm’s Financial Services Employment Tax team offers professionals the opportunity to engage in client relationships early on and manage a variety of tasks beyond tax compliance and advisory work. The team is seeking a high-performing Manager to drive the growth strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive employment tax compliance and advisory services to clients across diverse industries.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge in technical, functional, and leadership areas, and share this expertise with colleagues.
  • Support business development initiatives by preparing proposals and delivering presentations to prospective clients.
  • Ensure the successful completion of complex consulting projects, with a focus on technical excellence and business-oriented solutions.
  • Build and maintain client trust and seek opportunities to enhance relationships.
  • Identify and address potential challenges during client engagements, while exceeding client expectations through structured project management.
  • Develop opportunities for new business and expand client portfolios.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in employment tax within a consultancy, law firm, or large corporate environment.
  • Strong influencing skills, capable of persuading clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of employment tax issues, such as:
    • Expenses and Benefits (PSAs, P11Ds)
    • Employment Status (IR35, self-employment)
    • Payroll (PAYE, RTI, apprenticeship levy, audits)
    • Construction Industry Scheme
    • Termination Payments, Pensions, National Minimum Wage
    • HMRC dealings, audits, disclosures
    • Basic understanding of equity plans
  • Proven business development and project management skills.
  • Professional and flexible approach, with an ability to deliver practical, high-quality solutions.
  • ATT and/or CTA qualifications are preferred.
