Opportunity in a Leading Tier A Practice.

This firm is searching for an Assistant Manager, Financial Services Tax to join its team and support a diverse portfolio of financial services clients.

The Role:

As an Assistant Manager, Financial Services Tax, you will:

  • Help financial services businesses optimise their tax position, manage tax risk and meet their tax compliance obligations, covering both UK and international tax matters.
  • Work closely with large and complex financial institutions, gaining significant client exposure and supporting them with their tax requirements.
  • Provide UK and international tax advisory and compliance services.
  • Develop your commercial understanding of different types of financial institutions, including how they operate across different business areas, products and geographical markets.
  • Manage your own diverse portfolio of clients and take responsibility for delivering high-quality work.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues across the business.
  • Take advantage of training and development opportunities to strengthen your technical knowledge and commercial skills.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Assistant Manager, Financial Services Tax role, you will need:

  • A relevant professional qualification such as CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent. 
  • Previous UK tax experience.

It would also be advantageous if you have some of the following:

  • An interest in, or previous experience working with, financial services businesses.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to support colleagues and deliver work effectively to clients.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience in a tax compliance role, ideally with some exposure to tax advisory work.
  • The flexibility and organisational skills required to manage competing client priorities and meet deadlines.
