About the Role

Opportunity in a Big 4 firm.

This firm is seeking a confident Indirect Tax professional to join their team.

Key responsibilities include:

Building and maintaining tax relationships with clients, providing high levels of service.
Fostering relationships within the firm and externally with clients, identifying opportunities, and managing expectations.
Contributing to winning new work by proactively managing existing clients and securing new clients.
Managing the successful delivery of tax projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical, business-driven approach.
Responsible for day-to-day client liaison.
Serving as a key member of a client service group providing full tax services to a client portfolio.

Required skills and attributes:

Relevant Indirect Tax experience.
Strong tax technical skills and a desire to develop further.
Ability to build strong client relationships.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in a range of situations.
Capacity to identify areas of risk, conduct effective reviews, and know when to refer upwards.
Client-focused and commercially aware.
Relationship management skills with the ability to manage client expectations.
Team player with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.

Qualifications:

VAT tax experience from a large accountancy firm or in-house team.
ATT, ACA, CA, Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training course, Tax specialist qualification, or breadth of knowledge equivalent to a Tax specialist qualification.
