This firm's dynamic team is seeking a motivated, energetic and collaborative manager with expertise in hedge funds to join them.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role involve managing U.S. tax compliance engagements for hedge fund clients, with appropriate consideration given to risk, operational, and tax-related matters. Additionally, the role includes conducting research on U.S. tax legislation and communicating its impact to clients in the asset management space as part of broader tax consulting projects. The role requires working in a dynamic environment, coaching junior team members (both onshore and offshore), and sharing expertise with the broader team. Coordination of schedules and deadlines across multiple engagement teams is also a key aspect of the position.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Positive, collaborative attitude and a strong sense of teamwork
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Proficiency in partnership allocations and knowledge of private equity carry waterfalls
  • Practical understanding of international tax concepts such as PFICs, CFCs, and relevant U.S. tax forms
  • Experience advising clients on U.S. tax implications of investment structures
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders

Required Experience

  • CPA, EA, or equivalent qualification, or relevant degree in accounting or taxation
  • Extensive experience in preparing and reviewing partnership tax returns and Schedules K-1
  • Strong knowledge of international tax laws and tax preparation software
