In this role, the selected candidate will provide expert tax advisory services to clients in the financial services sector, focusing on complex transactions. Key Responsibilities:
- Advisory and Compliance: Lead the development and execution of tailored tax solutions for complex transactions within financial services, including M&A, structuring, and financing transactions.
- Client Management: Cultivate and strengthen client relationships through a deep understanding of their business and tax needs, providing guidance on tax implications of strategic decisions.
- Technical Excellence: Serve as a subject-matter expert in transactions tax, staying updated on relevant regulatory changes and ensuring clients’ strategies comply with current tax legislation.
- Project Leadership: Manage and deliver multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timelines, quality, and compliance standards are met, while maintaining a focus on team development.
- Team Development: Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative and high-performance environment, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Professional Background: A minimum of 5 years of experience in transactions tax, specifically within financial services.
- Educational Background: Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA) or tax qualification (e.g., CTA).
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in tax regulations affecting financial transactions.
- Client-Centric Approach: Proven ability to build and sustain client relationships, demonstrating trustworthiness and strategic insight.
