Opportunity in a Top 20 firm.

This firm seeks a Tax Partner to join their Cardiff office.  This role involves leading a Corporate Tax advisory team, overseeing the provision of tailored tax planning solutions for various business clients.

Key responsibilities include managing a personal portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance processes within the local office, and guiding the team’s daily development and growth. The position requires close collaboration with regional and national Tax Partners to deliver specialised advisory services and expert technical guidance.

The role involves managing diverse projects across different locations, supporting regional offices in specialised tax advisory tasks. Leadership duties include engaging with team members, conducting performance appraisals, coaching, and fostering skill development to enhance work quality and delivery standards. Additionally, the role involves building strong client relationships, maintaining an existing client base, and growing a personal portfolio through assignments, regular communication, and client meetings.

The successful candidate will also conduct in-depth research into complex tax legislation areas to provide accurate and insightful advice.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • CTA, ACA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in Corporate Tax or Mixed Tax within a professional practice setting is essential.
  • Familiarity with clients from various industries; exposure to multiple sectors is advantageous.
  • Strong technical knowledge and the capability to research complex tax legislation.
  • Proven ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
