About the Role
Opportunity in a Small firm.
The firm is looking for an experienced professional to oversee a portfolio of corporate tax clients on behalf of all partners. The position involves delivering a proactive, efficient, and cost-effective tax service, ensuring that the firm fulfils client needs while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the tax allocation manager for corporate clients, primarily consisting of owner-managed businesses.
Oversee personal tax matters for business owners where relevant.
Manage the compliance function for the client portfolio, including participation in pre-year-end and completion account meetings alongside accounting staff as appropriate.
Anticipate client needs in managing tax affairs, including but not limited to research and development tax credits, capital allowance claims, succession planning, and structuring.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and coordinate with colleagues to ensure timely and high-quality service.
Support Tax Partners, Directors, and Senior Managers in the delivery of advisory assignments.
Provide training and mentorship to staff from Tax Trainee to Tax Executive levels.
Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients as necessary.
Facilitate cross-referral services for corporate finance, financial planning, and other advisory needs.
Contribute to practice development activities, such as preparing articles, presentations, and participating in networking events.
Attend courses to enhance interpersonal skills and maintain up-to-date technical expertise.
Person Specification:
ACA or CTA qualified, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of three years of corporate tax experience.
Some knowledge of other taxes is advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong client relationship management skills and the ability to provide high-quality service.
Excellent communication skills with both clients and colleagues.
Effective time management skills to meet strict deadlines.
