About the Role

Opportunity in a Small firm.

This firm is currently seeking a highly qualified Tax Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of individuals and corporate tax clients while providing comprehensive tax advisory services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate taxation, with additional experience in personal tax and VAT being highly advantageous.

Key responsibilities include reviewing corporate and personal tax returns, spearheading tax projects, and managing the regional tax function in support of the Tax Partner. The successful applicant will be tasked with maximising fee income, supervising work progress, and overseeing departmental billing.

Our firm offers the opportunity to lead various tax initiatives, including research and development tax credits, employee share schemes, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, and demergers. Experience in stamp duty and cross-border taxation would be particularly valuable.

The ideal candidate will hold an ACA or CTA qualification (or equivalent) and demonstrate extensive experience in tax compliance services. They should possess a broad and robust technical tax knowledge base, excellent client management skills, and strong written and verbal communication abilities. The ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and effectively mentor team members is essential.

This position requires a self-motivated, disciplined individual with strong organisational and numerical skills, capable of taking ownership of projects, delegating tasks efficiently, and ensuring quality control. The successful applicant will be expected to integrate seamlessly into our wider team structure while maintaining a high standard of professional conduct.
