Tax Manager, Not for Profit

This firm is searching for a Tax Manager, Not for Profit to join a high-performing Tax team, working with leading organisations across the University, Charity and Social Housing sectors.

The Role:

• Be part of a high-performing team with significant experience across the firm and the wider sector, with opportunities to work with high-profile clients and on challenging projects.
• Take responsibility for developing more junior team members, understanding their career aspirations and supporting their professional growth.
• Work with some of the leading organisations across the University, Charity and Social Housing sectors on a wide range of interesting and complex projects.
• Have the opportunity to work with a growing portfolio of large clients, creating excellent opportunities for career progression.
• Take ownership of your work and develop your own approach within the role. You’ll be encouraged to be a self-starter and take responsibility for client relationships, delivery of work and collaboration with wider Tax teams.
• Work closely with experienced Partners and Directors while benefiting from the support of a capable and engaged team of tax professionals.

Qualifications:

To be successful as a Tax Manager, Not for Profit you’ll ideally have:

• ACA, ACCA, CTA or an equivalent professional qualification.
• UK corporate tax experience, ideally gained within the Not for Profit, Real Estate or Public Sector environment.
• Experience of reviewing and monitoring junior team members’ work.
• A strong track record of coaching, mentoring and supporting the career development of more junior colleagues.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage directly with clients and internal stakeholders.

Experience within the UK Real Estate or Public Sector market would be advantageous. You don’t need to tick every box, however — the firm is committed to supporting your ongoing development.

The Role may include experience across:

• Tax structuring – supporting clients with the acquisition and disposal of property in a tax-efficient manner.
• Charitable tax structuring – helping clients maximise charitable exemptions through tax-efficient group structures and effective Gift Aid policies.
• Client relationship management – working collaboratively with Partners and Directors to develop and strengthen key client relationships.
• Business development – contributing to business development initiatives, proposals and other growth opportunities.
• Tax compliance – advising clients on their ongoing UK tax compliance requirements and obligations.
