Tax Manager, Management Incentives

Opportunity at a Leading Tier A Practice.

This firm is searching for a Tax Manager to join its national Management Incentives team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with experience in Equity Reward to work with a broad range of mid-market clients, providing highly technical advice within a commercial and practical context.

The Role

As a Tax Manager, Management Incentives, you will:

• Advise mid-market clients on a wide range of management and employee incentive matters.
• Lead and deliver equity reward projects, including the design and implementation of share plans and incentive arrangements.
• Provide specialist tax advice and support in connection with corporate transactions, including both buy-side and sell-side work.
• Work across a varied portfolio of projects, including tax-advantaged share plans, growth shares, cash-based incentive plans, transaction support and ad hoc Employment Related Securities matters.
• Develop bespoke solutions tailored to each client's circumstances, providing technically robust advice while considering their wider structuring and commercial objectives.
• Collaborate with colleagues across a range of service lines, including Corporate Finance, Valuations and People Advisory.
• Manage and support graduates and trainees, contributing to their professional development.
• Take responsibility for client accounts and lead day-to-day client relationships.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and the team's wider go-to-market strategy.

Qualifications

To be successful as a Tax Manager, Management Incentives, you will have:

• Relevant tax experience within Equity Reward/Management Incentives.
• A professional qualification such as CTA, ATT or ACA, or equivalent experience; qualified lawyers with relevant experience will also be considered.
• Strong technical knowledge of the design and implementation of employee incentive arrangements.
• An excellent track record of delivering high-quality client service.
• The ability to manage multiple projects effectively and work to tight deadlines.
• A proactive and commercially minded approach to managing client projects, including responsibility for billing and fee management.
• Strong communication and relationship-management skills, with the confidence to take ownership of client relationships.

Desirable Experience

It would also be beneficial if you have:

• Experience advising on the design, implementation and operation of employee incentive plans.
• Experience of business development, or a genuine interest in developing your business development skills.
• Experience with document implementation, including drafting and/or reviewing plan documentation.
• Financial modelling or related analytical skills.
• Experience working collaboratively with other professional advisory teams.
