About the Role

Opportunity in a Top 30 firm.

This firm seeks a Tax Advisor to contribute to its Large Corporate team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing intricate UK tax computations and exploring potential tax-saving opportunities. This role requires active involvement in supporting businesses as they venture into emerging markets and coordinating corporate tax compliance with international advisers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of detailed UK tax computations with a focus on identifying tax-saving opportunities and optimising tax reliefs.
  • Provision of advisory support for businesses entering new markets, ensuring compliance with both domestic and international tax regulations.
  • Coordination with overseas tax advisers to manage corporate tax compliance across various jurisdictions.
  • Drafting of advisory reports on international and large corporate tax matters, including but not limited to, tax-efficient structuring, legal entity simplification, intercompany transactions, and compliance with transfer pricing regulations.
  • Assisting in the compilation and analysis of data for UK and international tax investigations and inquiries.
  • Interpretation of evolving UK tax legislation to provide strategic advice.
  • Development of client relationships to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Mentorship and development of junior tax advisors, along with support in team training initiatives.
  • Assisting the leadership team in executing key business projects such as tax technology advancements and growth strategies.
  • Demonstrating flexibility, effective time management, and exceptional communication and project management skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or equivalent, with ATT/CTA or comparable expertise.
  • Consideration may be given to CA or equivalent with a strong commitment to pursuing CTA or ADIT qualifications.
  • Minimum of four years of UK corporate tax experience, particularly with multinational entities.
  • Preferred experience in both UK and international tax advisory and compliance work.
  • Proven ability to manage large corporate tax projects from inception through to completion within budget and timelines.
  • A professional, proactive approach to delivering tax advice.
