Role Summary:

This firm’s Transaction Tax team provides expert tax advisory services across a variety of high-value technical tax matters for high-net-worth individuals and corporate entities. Due to the expansion of the team, they are offering an exciting career opportunity for an individual looking to diversify their experience and advance their career.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key advisor within the OMB team, providing guidance on compliance and advisory matters across all taxes, including income tax, capital gains tax, EMI, and EIS.
  • Lead in people management, training, and workflow coordination.
  • Address ad-hoc tax-related inquiries from both clients and colleagues.
  • Review Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) qualifications, prepare advance assurances, and manage compliance.
  • Advise on share scheme qualifications, tax implications, valuations, and compliance.
  • Prepare advisory reports, memos, and conduct technical tax research.
  • Stay informed on technical tax matters and legislative changes, delivering updates to staff.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical and marketing material for internal and external use.
  • Train and manage junior team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualifications: ATT, CTA, or ACA (beneficial but not essential).
  • Experience: Relevant experience across most responsibilities outlined above.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with clients and staff.
    • Exceptional written communication skills for drafting reports.
    • Keen attention to detail.
    • A proactive and positive approach to working with clients and colleagues.
    • Confidence to work independently.
