About the Role
Opportunity in a Big 4 firm.
This firm seeks a Senior Tax Advisor to join its team. The team comprises experts working across multiple alternative asset classes, including hedge funds, private equity funds, credit funds, and real estate. Clients include market-leading UK-based businesses, US inbounds, and prominent UK, European, and global asset managers. As this firm has set ambitious growth targets across all alternative asset classes over the coming years, there are several opportunities for outstanding candidates to join the team.
The team also provides advisory and compliance services for the principals of these firms, handling personal tax matters and offering strategic tax advice. With a global network, the team supports cross-border tax advisory work and assists clients with transactional matters, engaging in a wide range of international and domestic tax planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on a variety of tax matters, including fund tax, international tax, UK corporation tax, UK income tax, capital gains tax, and other issues pertinent to the Wealth and Asset Management sector.
- Managing a portfolio of long-term client accounts, fostering deep relationships, and establishing a role as their trusted advisor.
- Engaging in in-person, verbal, and written communication with clients.
- Collaborating with other offices both in the UK and internationally.
- Liaising with HM Revenue & Customs and third parties, including major financial institutions, legal firms, and wealth advisory businesses.
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Proven experience in providing tax advice to Wealth and Asset Management clients and their funds, with some expertise in international tax matters being advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills across all levels.
- High attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering work of a high professional standard.
- Proficiency with computers, along with adaptability to new systems.
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have:
- Initiative, professionalism, and confidence.
- Experience in providing tax advice within the Wealth and Asset Management sector.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., CTA, CA (ICAS), ACA, or ATT).
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
