Opportunity at a Top 10 firm.
This firm is searching for a Manager, VAT to join their Indirect Tax team.
The Role
Take full ownership of scoping, delivering, and billing high-quality technical VAT advice for a diverse portfolio of clients.
Review team output and mentor junior staff to ensure high quality standards, while providing seamless support to Directors and Partners.
Provide technically accurate advice grounded in strong knowledge of legislation, case law, and technical analysis, producing work that requires minimal review.
Demonstrate strong business writing skills, with the ability to translate complex indirect tax issues into clear, accessible guidance for non-tax stakeholders.
Maintain strict compliance with internal risk management procedures and take ownership of financial performance, including WIP management, utilisation, gross margin, and billing.
Key Requirements
Proven experience in VAT/Indirect Taxes gained within an advisory or in-house environment, ideally backed by a CTA, ATT, or equivalent qualification.
Experience managing a large, varied client portfolio, supported by excellent organizational skills to balance competing priorities across multiple projects.
Strong interpersonal abilities with a track record of building long-term business relationships and leading mixed-discipline teams to project completion.
Demonstrated capability in advising on complex indirect tax matters across a variety of VAT areas and sectors.
