About the Role

Opportunity in a Leading Inernational firm.

This firm is searching for a Senior Manager to join its Transaction Tax team. The successful candidate will provide tax structuring advice and lead tax due diligence assignments across both buy-side and sell-side transactions, working with private equity and corporate clients.

If you enjoy working across a broad range of projects and sectors, this is an excellent opportunity to take on a varied and commercially focused role.

The Role

As a Senior Manager, you will:

  • Lead client discussions and present findings to clients and legal advisers, while managing relationships with the target company's management team.
  • Work closely with Financial Due Diligence (FDD) and SPA Advisory teams to ensure tax work is fully integrated with the wider transaction advisory process.
  • Lead tax due diligence meetings with target businesses, oversee analysis and review reports to ensure work is accurate, robust and commercially relevant before final partner/director review.
  • Prepare and review tax structuring reports based on proposed acquisition structures, assessing key tax implications in line with the commercial objectives of each transaction.
  • Contribute across all aspects of transactions, including reviewing forecast models, funds flows and relevant legal documentation.
  • Build strong relationships across the wider firm and international network, identifying opportunities across Transaction Advisory Services, Corporate Finance and international member firms.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key external contacts, including private equity funds, corporate clients, law firms and intermediaries, supporting business development across the team.
  • Contribute to business development activity, including researching opportunities, preparing proposals and participating in presentations to prospective clients.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring accurate and timely billing, effective fee collection and appropriate management of outstanding debtors.
  • Undertake and produce high-quality technical tax research, drawing on legislation, tax authority guidance and relevant technical resources.
  • Lead, support and develop team members through ongoing coaching, training and professional development.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified chartered accountant or tax adviser, holding ACA, CA, CTA, ADIT or an equivalent qualification, and will have a strong grounding in UK taxation.

Experience in some or all of the following areas would be advantageous:

  • UK corporation tax compliance and/or M&A tax experience.
  • Exposure to a broader range of tax matters, such as transfer pricing, R&D, VAT, employment taxes, stamp duty and share transactions/share option schemes.
  • Strong client-handling and project management experience, with a proven ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships.
  • Demonstrable experience advising on complex and technical tax matters.
  • The ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously, prioritise effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience preparing client-facing and transaction documentation.

This firm is looking for someone who combines strong technical tax expertise with commercial awareness, excellent communication skills and the ability to lead both client relationships and high-performing teams.
