About the Role

Opportunity in a Small firm.

This firm is looking for a Private Client Tax Senior Manager to contribute to its expansion by overseeing a portfolio of private client cases, focusing mainly on advisory services and drafting reports.

The advisory responsibilities include Inheritance Tax and Estate Planning, Trusts, International tax matters, and other complex private client tax issues.

In this role, the Private Client Tax Manager will provide tax advisory services in collaboration with the Tax Partner, work to maximise fee income, and oversee work in progress and billing for the department. Key responsibilities include preparing detailed reports and offering comprehensive advice to clients.

The position focuses exclusively on private client matters, requiring a candidate with significant expertise in this area.

Key Requirements:

  • A relevant professional qualification such as CTA (or equivalent), with substantial experience in private client tax advisory services.
  • Strong and broad technical tax knowledge, particularly in Inheritance Tax, Estate Planning, Trusts, and International tax matters.
  • Proficiency in drafting detailed reports and providing high-quality, comprehensive advice to clients.
  • Exceptional client management skills, including excellent written and presentation abilities.
  • Capability to develop positive working relationships within the team.
  • Experience in mentoring and supporting the development of team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with strong presentation capabilities.
  • Ownership of projects, effective delegation within the team, and responsibility for quality control.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, organised, methodical, and possessing strong numerical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a broader team.
