Senior Manager, Corporate Tax (Large Corporates)

This firm is searching for a Senior Manager to join its Corporate and Multinational Tax team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse client base, ranging from listed groups to large, private equity-backed businesses.

The Role

As a Senior Manager, Corporate Tax, you will:

• Advise a broad range of clients across a variety of corporate tax matters, including both compliance and advisory projects.
• Lead client relationships and, alongside the senior leadership team, deliver high-quality solutions across advisory engagements.
• Manage the preparation of tax provisions and ensure tax reporting obligations and compliance deadlines are met.
• Develop and manage your own portfolio of clients, maintaining a consistently high level of client service.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider tax practice to identify opportunities with both new and existing clients.
• Coach, mentor and develop more junior members of the team, including through the delivery of bespoke training sessions.
• Take a hands-on approach to delivering client work and collaborate with wider tax teams to ensure the appropriate skills and expertise are deployed across projects.
• Actively contribute to business development, including strengthening existing client relationships and identifying and pitching for new opportunities.
• Support senior leadership with proposals, tenders and pitches, helping to grow the business through an active presence in the market and by demonstrating the firm's capabilities to clients and prospective clients.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of, and adhere to, the firm's risk management, governance and quality procedures.

Qualifications

To be successful in this Senior Manager, Corporate Tax role, you will be professionally qualified (such as ATT, CTA, ACA or equivalent) and have strong post-qualification experience. You will be confident managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients and taking ownership of complex client relationships and projects.

Ideally, you will also bring:

• Strong UK corporation tax technical knowledge, including experience leading domestic and international tax advisory projects.
• Experience with tax provisioning and interim and full-year group reporting.
• Strong corporate tax compliance experience, with an understanding of areas such as hybrid and other mismatch rules, interest deductibility, the Controlled Foreign Companies regime and Pillar Two.
• A proven track record of leading projects, with a strong focus on accountability, quality and timely delivery.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• A self-motivated approach combined with a strong team ethic.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience coaching, mentoring and developing more junior team members.
• A genuine desire to build relationships, network and play an active role in the continued growth of the wider tax team.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to apply critical thinking to complex issues, bringing clarity and insight to clients.
• Familiarity with tax and business software such as Alphatax, Power BI and Microsoft Office.
