About the Role

Opportunity in a Top 20 firm.

This firm is excited to announce a new opportunity for a Senior Corporate Tax Manager, created due to the recent success of its Tax team. This role primarily focuses on expanding the Insurance corporate tax practice. You will lead the go-to-market strategy in Insurance, managing business development initiatives, and play a key role in shaping the broader FS Tax strategy.

Key responsibilities include overseeing teams involved in corporate tax advisory, compliance, and audit of tax engagements. You will manage a portfolio of client work, ensuring both high-quality outcomes for clients and profitability for the business through best practices, effective use of technology, and adherence to firm policies. Additionally, you’ll serve as a role model for junior team members in the London office, guiding their development and reviewing their work.

What are we looking for?

  • Extensive experience managing corporate tax engagements in the Insurance sector, including both tax compliance and advisory services.
  • Strong technical knowledge in tax and tax accounting.
  • A commitment to staying current on broader business tax, international tax, and regulatory issues, such as OECD Pillar 2 – GloBE.
  • Willingness to take on team management and development responsibilities within the FS Tax team.
  • Proven ability to manage client engagements, including financials, timetables, and fee negotiations.
  • A track record of identifying business development opportunities in FS Tax and across other service lines.
  • Experience in coaching and developing junior staff.
  • Availability to work from our London office at least three days per week to support team collaboration and mentorship.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
