About the Role

Opportunity in a Boutique firm.

This firm is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Corporate Tax Senior to join its expanding team. The role involves supporting both the Corporate Tax Director and Manager with a variety of tax-related tasks and responsibilities.

Key duties include managing workflow to ensure deadlines are met, preparing Company Tax Returns along with supporting schedules and computations, and producing Capital Allowances reports. The position also entails contributing to Corporate Interest Restriction analyses and reporting, as well as preparing and submitting non-resident Capital Gains reports and registering non-resident companies for Corporation Tax.

Additional responsibilities involve ensuring effective controls and audit trails to support peer and managerial reviews, collaborating with the audit team to verify appropriate working papers for tax provisions, and drafting tax disclosure notes for financial statements when required. The role will also respond to daily ad hoc tax queries from both clients and colleagues, assist with the preparation of R&D claims, and analyse technical tax issues to provide clear and concise advice.

The successful candidate will also liaise with HMRC and the firm's Tax Disputes Resolution team as needed, provide training to junior staff, and assist in the development of technical and marketing materials for both internal and external use.

Qualifications:

  • ATT qualification essential, with the intention to pursue CTA qualification.

Experience:

  • Relevant experience in the core responsibilities outlined.
  • Experience managing a personal client portfolio.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for client and staff relations.
