Opportunity in a Big 4 firm.

This firm is seeking a Senior Consultant to join their distinguished team. This team specialises in delivering customised global payroll solutions, enabling clients to effectively manage the risks associated with their internationally mobile workforce.

 Key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting and analysing compensation data for tax and social security compliance.
  • Supporting expatriate payroll management through advanced technology solutions.
  • Conducting payroll data validations, including variance analysis to identify high-risk areas.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal global mobility policies.
  • Providing total cost reporting and advising on potential cost savings.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a degree or equivalent qualification and demonstrate a client-centric approach. Experience managing complex datasets, particularly related to compensation for mobile employees, is preferred, though a willingness to learn is also valued. Proficiency in Excel or similar platforms for data manipulation is required. Basic knowledge of expatriate tax, including relevant reliefs such as Temporary Workplace Relief and Overseas Workdays Relief, is desirable. Experience in managing large, multi-client payroll processes is beneficial. Candidates must be capable of self-managing day-to-day responsibilities in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a collaborative team-oriented mindset are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships, delivering high-quality client service.
  • Contribute to the successful execution of client projects with technical precision.
  • Manage the entire Mobility compensation and payroll process, including data collection, processing, distribution, and analysis.
  • Address client queries and collaborate with international teams to ensure project completion.
  • Utilise data analytics to provide clients with insights for their mobility programs.
  • Assist in client retention, business development, and other marketing efforts.
  • Innovate and create technology solutions to maintain the firm’s market leadership in Mobility compensation and payroll.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
  • Validate Year-End reporting and reconciliations.
  • Ensure adherence to the firm’s Quality Risk Management procedures and maintain accurate file management.
  • Familiarise yourself with the firm’s software and technology to support reporting and document preparation.
  • Liaise with global offices to ensure compliance with monthly deliverables and regulations.
  • Manage shared email inboxes to ensure timely responses and actions.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and identify potential risks or opportunities for escalation.
  • Deliver work in line with established KPIs/SLAs.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to junior team members.
