Senior Associate

Opportunity in a an Independent Law firm.

This firm is looking for a Senior Associate to join their team. The role offers a unique opportunity to work on high-quality matters for both domestic and international clients. As part of the tax team, you will provide comprehensive advice and support across multiple practice areas, gaining exposure to a wide variety of projects.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Participating in mergers and acquisitions, both within the UK and internationally, by negotiating agreements and advising on transaction structures;
• Developing and advising on incentive schemes, ranging from approved EMI schemes for start-ups to stock options and restricted securities for multinational corporations;
• Offering expertise on tax aspects of real estate transactions, with a focus on VAT, Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT), and capital allowances; and
• Collaborating with other departments, such as employment, commercial, and construction, to address the complex tax issues that arise in their respective areas.

This role requires the ability to manage a varied workload and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic legal environment.
