Opportunity in an International Law firm.

This firm seeks an exceptional Senior Associate to join its distinguished Tax practice, with a primary focus on transactional matters. The successful candidate will handle sophisticated tax advisory work across mergers and acquisitions, finance, and real estate transactions, with particular emphasis on real estate tax matters.

The position involves providing comprehensive tax counsel on private M&A transactions, representing diverse stakeholders including financial sponsors, corporate entities, and management teams. The role encompasses advising on complex financing arrangements, restructurings, and management equity incentives, as well as tax considerations in IPOs and capital market transactions.

The Tax practice operates collaboratively across its specialized divisions, including Asset Management and Incentives & Remuneration. While primarily focused on transactional work, the position offers opportunities to engage with these complementary practice areas. Qualified candidates may pursue secondment opportunities with clients or overseas law firms as they arise.

Required Qualifications:

  • UK-qualified solicitor, preferably with City law firm experience
  • Proven track record in transactional tax (M&A, Finance, Real Estate)
  • Superior academic credentials
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication
  • Strong transaction management capabilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Real estate tax expertise highly valued

The ideal candidate will possess both technical tax expertise and transactional experience, including proficiency in document drafting and negotiation. They must demonstrate commitment to maintaining the firm's collaborative culture while delivering exceptional client service.
