The successful candidate will play a key role in advising on the tax implications of various corporate, commercial, and property transactions. The team’s areas of expertise include company acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, and complex property deals, as well as the structuring of investment funds. Additionally, they offer advice on creating tax-efficient employee share schemes and optimising tax strategies in restructuring and insolvency contexts. A core aspect of the role involves delivering tailored tax consultancy services, particularly with an emphasis on property tax matters, to legal and accountancy firms.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic advice on corporate structuring and draft relevant transactional documents.
- Offer guidance on SDLT/LBTT, VAT, capital allowances, and general tax planning for property transactions.
- Assist business owners with tax planning, investment structuring, and the reorganisation of business entities.
- Advise on devolved tax matters and the design of employee share schemes, particularly in the context of corporate transactions.
- Counsel on investment fund structuring and executive remuneration strategies.
- Present tax updates through seminars, webinars, and presentations for both internal and external audiences.
- Collaborate with partners to support business development and team initiatives.
- Maintain adherence to the firm’s information security protocols.
Requirements
- 4-8 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Legal or ATT/CTA qualifications.
- Strong interest in tax with a business-oriented, practical approach.
- Excellent communication skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
