Opportunity in a Leading International firm.

An opportunity has arisen for a qualified professional to join this firm. The role involves providing clients across diverse industries with expert advice on customs duties and compliance matters. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality advice to clients on customs duties and compliance, covering areas such as customs classification, origin, valuation, special procedures, AEO authorisation, duty reclaims, excise duties, and customs data analytics.
  • Prepare and present proposals to existing and potential clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, taking responsibility for managing these relationships proactively and ensuring timely delivery of services to the highest standard.
  • Oversee client projects from inception through to implementation and ongoing compliance, including customs warehousing, Inward Processing, and AEO applications.
  • Manage budgets, agree on fees, and coordinate client billing.
  • Collaborate with the wider VAT team and other departments within the firm to ensure comprehensive client support.
  • Assist in the enhancement and application of the firm’s Customs Data Analytics solution, identifying potential risks and opportunities for clients.
  • Stay updated on legislative and regulatory changes in customs and international trade, and assess their impact on clients.

Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in customs and international trade, preferably within a consultancy setting.
  • Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to client delivery.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and actively seek new business opportunities.
