Role Summary:

The position focuses on providing expert tax advice across various corporate transactions and real estate ventures. The team blends analytical acumen with a business-focused approach, offering guidance on a broad range of tax issues, including VAT, Stamp Duty, and SDLT planning. With a mix of tax lawyers and chartered tax advisors, the team delivers practical solutions to a diverse range of clients, such as owner-managed companies, private equity firms, real estate investors, and funds. Key responsibilities include advising on exit strategies, offshore structuring, corporate group reorganisations, and employment tax matters, including redundancy scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offering comprehensive tax guidance on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring projects
  • Advising clients on SDLT, VAT, and employment-related tax matters
  • Providing clear, solution-oriented advice across various tax concerns
  • Using analytical and commercial insights to support tax planning in corporate transactions
  • Collaborating with a team of tax lawyers and chartered tax advisors to craft comprehensive tax strategies
  • Assisting with planning for exit strategies, offshore structures, and remuneration schemes

Qualifications & Experience:

  • At least 2 years of post-qualification experience as a specialist tax solicitor
  • Proven track record in advising on tax aspects of corporate transactions
  • In-depth knowledge of SDLT, VAT, and employment-related taxes
  • Strong analytical skills paired with a commercial mindset
  • Ability to offer practical, clear, and effective tax advice
