About the Role
Opportunity in a Leading practice.
This firm seeks an accomplished tax professional to oversee a client portfolio and supervise junior staff within the personal tax division. The ideal candidate will support Tax Directors and Partners in managing departmental operations and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
Portfolio Management:
Oversee client accounts, ensuring satisfaction and revenue optimisation
Manage and review personal tax returns for assigned clients and junior staff work
Coordinate ad hoc projects, maintaining quality standards and deadlines
Address tax inquiries from senior leadership
Contribute to billing processes and consultancy work
Participate in client meetings as needed
Develop standardised procedures to enhance departmental efficiency
Staff Management:
Conduct bi-annual performance evaluations for designated team members
Delegate and assess tasks
Facilitate relevant training for junior staff
Additional Duties:
Maintain current tax technical knowledge through ongoing professional development
Engage in tax advisory work commensurate with expertise level
Qualifications and Skills:
CTA/ACA qualification (Qualified by Experience may be considered)
Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
Up-to-date technical knowledge
Proficiency in relevant software applications
Strong communication and supervisory abilities
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
Client-focused with commercial acumen
Ability to thrive under pressure
