Opportunity in a Big 4 firm.

This firm is seeking an experienced individual to join them.  The successful candidate will work closely with Managers, Senior Managers, and other team members to assess complex situations, offer informed advice, and provide technical opinions. This position presents significant opportunities for promotion to Manager and beyond, offering long-term career growth within the organisation.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in UK Tax, demonstrating expertise in the following essential areas:

  • ATT/CTA qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Previous senior-level experience in a private client tax department
  • Expertise in working with non-UK domiciled individuals, including reviewing tax returns based on arising and remittance bases, and conducting mixed fund analysis
  • Experience with remittance planning, offshore account structuring, and knowledge of tax treaties
  • Comprehensive understanding of UK private client tax regulations
  • Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and maintain high standards of communication at all levels
  • Strong technical writing skills for a range of audiences
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to meet time-based targets
  • Experience with clients who have US connections is advantageous
  • Desirable: Experience with offshore trust matters

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop relationships with clients and colleagues within the wider practice
  • Handle a designated client portfolio and all related tax issues
  • Attend client meetings and manage client work progress, debtors, and billing
  • Guide and mentor junior staff, including technical and administrative development
  • Review and approve tax returns
  • Coordinate work-flow and staffing with management
  • Participate in management decision-making and technical development meetings
  • Assist with staff appraisals and personnel management tasks
