Opportunity in a Big 4 firm.

This firm is looking for a Restructuring Tax Manager to join their expert team, offering the chance to gain valuable UK tax technical knowledge and develop a strong commercial understanding of what matters most to their clients in the context of transactions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain tax relationships with clients, delivering exceptional client service.
  • Support business development by actively managing existing client relationships and contributing to the acquisition of new clients.
  • Oversee the effective delivery of tax projects, ensuring both technical proficiency and a practical, business-oriented approach.
  • Maximise the value derived from tax services for both this firm and its clients while appropriately managing associated risks.
  • Maintain a client-focused, strategic, and commercially informed perspective.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, across various situations.
  • Foster and expand internal and external networks to enhance the team's resources.
  • Mentor and develop junior staff through effective supervision, coaching, and guidance.
  • Play a significant role in managing the team’s strategy and operations, particularly through the oversight of junior staff development and assignment management.

Required Qualifications

  • Experienced UK tax practitioner with substantial reviewing skills and expertise in Restructuring Tax.
  • ACA/ATT/CTA certification or an international equivalent, or a legal qualification.
  • Degree-level education.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in project management, including the ability to plan and prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and monitor personal budget and time.
  • Experience in UK tax compliance.
