About the Role

Opportunity in a Big 4 firm.

This firm is seeking a UK Tax Manager to join its dynamic private client team. The company provides services to a diverse range of international high-net-worth individuals residing in the UK, including family offices, private equity and hedge fund professionals, and prestigious partnerships.

Given the predominantly international nature of the client base, experience with non-UK domiciled individuals is a key requirement.

The role encompasses both compliance and advisory functions, collaborating closely with Senior Managers and other team members to assess intricate tax issues and provide informed technical advice. Opportunities for career progression to Senior Manager and higher are available.

Requirements:

Candidates must be ATT/CTA qualified (or equivalent by experience) and have a strong background in UK private client tax, including work at Assistant Manager or Manager level. Essential experience includes handling non-UK domiciled clients, managing mixed fund analysis, remittance planning, and offshore account structuring. Strong client management, communication, and organisational skills are essential, along with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Key duties include managing client portfolios, maintaining client relationships, reviewing tax returns, developing junior staff, and participating in decision-making within the management team. The role also involves managing work-flow, billing, and staff development, as well as contributing to risk management processes. Experience with offshore trust matters and US connections is advantageous.
