About the Role

Opportunity in a Top 100 firm.

This firm seeks a Tax Manager to join their esteemed team. The primary function of this role is to proactively manage a portfolio of Trust and Personal Tax cases.

The responsibilities extend to reviewing tax work to uphold high standards, analysing team performance to identify training needs, and engaging in the development of tax team members. Additionally, this role involves monitoring team performance and profitability, as well as assisting the Partner Group and Tax Compliance Director on various projects as required.

KEY DUTIES:

- Proactively managing your own client allocation of Trust and Personal Tax cases
- Reviewing tax work with a view to maintaining high standards
- Analysing team performance with a view to identifying training needs
- Engaging with the training and development of tax team members
- Monitoring team performance and profitability
- Assisting the Partner Group and Tax Compliance Director on ad hoc projects as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

- ATT qualified as a minimum, but CTA qualification would be preferred; excellent 'qualified by experience' candidates will also be considered
- Minimum of 2-3 years of management experience in a practice environment in an income tax compliance role
- Broad exposure to income tax compliance issues and knowledge of tax regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
