Applicants with a background in management tax issues are preferred, though individuals with experience in private client, employment taxes, or corporate tax are also encouraged to apply. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and sustain client relationships.
  • Engage in proactive business development to secure new opportunities.
  • Manage the delivery of technically complex and challenging consulting projects, ensuring technical precision and a practical, business-focused approach.
  • Support the development of junior team members through effective supervision, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Contribute to people initiatives, including team retention and training.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Client-focused with strategic and commercial acumen.
  • Strong technical expertise in tax matters.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills and the ability to produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Effective negotiation skills and resilience in handling challenges.
  • Proven business development capabilities, with a track record of identifying and securing new business.
  • Strong time management skills, particularly under pressure.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of advising a range of individuals or companies, including AIM listed, PE-backed, Family-Owned, and OMB businesses, or experience with management incentive plans or share option plans.

Qualifications:

  • ACA, CTA, Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training, Law qualification, or equivalent tax specialist qualification.
  • Extensive tax technical knowledge.
  • Experience in coaching and developing junior staff.

Desirable Skills:

  • Project management expertise, including planning, prioritising, meeting deadlines, and budget management.
  • Creative and pragmatic problem-solving abilities.
