Opportunity in a Big 4 firm.

This firm offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join its specialist Management Taxes team. The selected candidate will have the privilege of collaborating with our esteemed clients and intermediaries, providing an excellent platform for expanding their professional network and playing a key role in securing new business.

While familiarity with issues affecting management teams is advantageous, candidates without specific expertise in management taxes are also encouraged to apply, considering the diverse nature of the role and the team environment. This firm has successfully integrated professionals from private client, employment taxes, and corporate tax backgrounds.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain client relationships.
Engage in proactive business development to secure new engagements.
Manage the delivery of complex consulting projects, ensuring technical excellence and a practical, business-oriented approach.
Provide developmental support to junior team members through supervision, coaching, and mentoring.
Contribute to team initiatives, including retention and training.

Skills and Attributes for Success:

Strong technical skills in tax.
Excellent client relationship management abilities, capable of delivering high-quality outputs.
Strong negotiation skills, able to maintain positions and manage challenges effectively.
Business development acumen, with the ability to identify and capitalise on opportunities.
Effective time management, maintaining composure under pressure to meet deadlines.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Solid understanding of advising a range of entities, including AIM-listed companies, PE-backed firms, family-owned businesses, and OMBs, or experience in implementing management incentive plans or share option schemes.

Qualifications Required:

ACA / CTA / Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training / Law qualification / Tax specialist qualification, or equivalent breadth of knowledge.
Strong tax technical expertise.
Proven business development skills, with the ability to convert opportunities into engagements.
Experience in coaching and mentoring junior staff.

Project management capabilities, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and meet deadlines while monitoring budgets.
Creative and pragmatic problem-solving abilities.
