About the Role
Opportunity in an Accounting firm.
A position is available for a skilled professional to join this firm. The job entails offering expert guidance to clients from various industries on customs regulations and duty compliance issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality advice to clients on customs duties and compliance, covering areas such as customs classification, origin, valuation, special procedures, AEO authorisation, duty reclaims, excise duties, and customs data analytics.
- Prepare and present proposals to existing and potential clients.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, taking responsibility for managing these relationships proactively and ensuring timely delivery of services to the highest standard.
- Oversee client projects from inception through to implementation and ongoing compliance, including customs warehousing, Inward Processing, and AEO applications.
- Manage budgets, agree on fees, and coordinate client billing.
- Collaborate with the wider VAT team and other departments within the firm to ensure comprehensive client support.
- Assist in the enhancement and application of the firm’s Customs Data Analytics solution, identifying potential risks and opportunities for clients.
- Stay updated on legislative and regulatory changes in customs and international trade, and assess their impact on clients.
Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in customs and international trade, preferably within a consultancy setting.
- Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to client delivery.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and actively seek new business opportunities.
