About the Role

Opportunity in a Top 50 firm.

This firm seeks an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to drive its ambitious growth strategy. The ideal candidate will oversee a diverse portfolio of corporate tax clients, with a primary emphasis on advisory services. These services encompass mergers and acquisitions, tax due diligence, share option schemes, research and development claims, corporate restructures, and succession and exit planning strategies, including company buybacks and management buyouts.

The successful applicant will collaborate closely with the Tax Partner to deliver comprehensive tax compliance and advisory services, while optimising fee income and supervising departmental work progress and billing. Although the role primarily focuses on corporate taxation, experience in personal tax and VAT would be advantageous.

Essential qualifications include a relevant professional certification (ACA, CTA, or equivalent) and extensive tax compliance expertise. The position demands strong technical tax knowledge, excellent client management skills, and the ability to foster positive relationships within the team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in mentoring and developing staff, possess superior written and verbal communication skills, and exhibit a talent for project ownership and quality control.

Our firm values individuals who thrive under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and display self-motivation and discipline. Strong numerical abilities, organisational skills, and the capacity to work effectively as part of a larger team are crucial for success in this role.
