About the Role

Opportunity in a Leading firm.

This firm is seeking a highly qualified corporate tax specialist at Manager level to join its rapidly expanding Group. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting partners by overseeing the corporate tax matters for a diverse portfolio of predominantly owner-managed businesses.

The position offers exposure to a wide array of business sectors, including property, innovation, agriculture, financial services, sports and entertainment, and non-profit organisations. The role encompasses tax planning and advisory projects related to property transactions, capital allowance claims, R&D tax credits, and cross-border transactions. Additionally, the specialist will have the opportunity to contribute to standalone advisory projects such as acquisition and disposal structuring, group reorganizations, due diligence, and equity incentive structuring.

Responsibilities include staff management and work planning, with direct reporting to client partners. Our firm is committed to professional development, offering ongoing training, participation in annual tax conferences, and access to both internal and external learning opportunities.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust corporate tax background and thrive in a collegial, supportive environment. They must demonstrate proactivity, resilience, and strong marketing skills. Innovation, vision, and creativity are essential attributes, as is the ability to establish credibility at all levels. Commercial acumen and a clear understanding of client needs are paramount.

Recent experience in managing a corporate tax portfolio and advising owner-managed businesses is required, along with an in-depth, current knowledge of corporate tax issues. The role demands a team-oriented, flexible individual capable of organising tax work delivery, problem-solving, and exercising independent judgment. The ability to analyse tax issues from both corporate and owner perspectives is crucial.
