This firm is seeking a seasoned Insurance Tax Senior Manager to join its dynamic and fast-paced Tax team. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and experienced tax professional to lead complex tax engagements in the insurance industry, working with both national and international clients. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing high-level tax advisory services, managing client relationships, and developing junior team members within a leading accountancy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement & Advisory Services: Lead and manage multiple client engagements, focusing on the unique tax needs of insurance companies. Provide high-quality advisory services across tax compliance, planning, and risk management, ensuring alignment with the latest industry trends and regulatory requirements.

  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in insurance tax, advising clients on complex tax matters, including policyholder tax implications, transfer pricing, tax reserving, and compliance. Remain current on insurance tax regulations and provide insights on legislative changes affecting clients.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance. Provide coaching and technical guidance to junior team members to enhance their tax knowledge and client service skills.

  • Collaboration Across Service Lines: Work closely with other departments within this firm, such as Audit and Advisory, to deliver seamless, integrated service to clients, ensuring a holistic approach to addressing client needs.

  • Project & Financial Management: Oversee engagement planning, budgeting, and execution. Monitor project performance, manage profitability, and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the insurance sector, serving as a trusted advisor and point of contact. Ensure high client satisfaction through exceptional service and proactive communication.

  • Business Development: Support this firm’s growth initiatives by identifying new business opportunities within the insurance sector. Participate in marketing and networking events, representing this firm and promoting its capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Extensive experience in reward tax within an accountancy firm
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance
- Proven ability to design and implement reward structures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
