Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong client relationships, with a proven ability to go to market
  • Ensure high-quality work delivery, taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of the delivery team
  • Support the development of colleagues by effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring
  • Contribute to talent initiatives, including staff retention and training of international tax professionals
  • Take a significant role in managing the team’s strategy and operations, as well as junior staff development and assignments

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Strong client relationship management skills and commercial awareness
  • Effective negotiation skills, with the ability to handle challenges
  • Proven business development skills, with the ability to identify and convert opportunities
  • Significant practical and commercial experience, whether through advising clients or in-house work
  • Excellent time management, remaining calm under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills in both written and oral contexts
  • Team player capable of building, sustaining, and managing inclusive teams

Desirable:

  • Experience within Financial Services, particularly in wealth and asset management, including real estate
  • Project management skills, including planning, prioritising, meeting deadlines, and budget monitoring
  • Relevant qualifications such as ACA/ACCA/CA, or comparable credentials; Tax Inspector with full Technical Training; or Law qualification. CTA or equivalent knowledge and experience is also valuable.
  • Enthusiastic and adaptable approach to work
  • Extensive tax advisory and reviewing experience
  • Strong communication skills across various contexts, both written and oral
  • VAT compliance experience, either in-house or through secondment
