Position Overview:

The role focuses on delivering expert tax advisory services for a broad spectrum of corporate transactions and real estate projects. The team combines robust analytical skills with a business-centric approach, addressing various tax matters including VAT, Stamp Duty, and SDLT. Comprising both tax lawyers and chartered tax advisors, the team provides practical, tailored solutions to a diverse clientele, such as owner-managed businesses, private equity firms, real estate investors, and funds. The core responsibilities include advising on business exits, offshore structuring, corporate reorganisations, and employment tax issues, with a focus on redundancy planning.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Delivering comprehensive tax guidance on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring
  • Advising clients on SDLT, VAT, and employment tax issues
  • Offering clear, actionable insights on a wide range of tax topics
  • Leveraging analytical and commercial skills to support tax planning in corporate transactions
  • Collaborating with tax lawyers and advisors to develop robust tax strategies
  • Assisting with planning for exit strategies, offshore structures, and employee remuneration packages

Qualifications & Expertise:

  • Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience as a tax professional
  • Proven success in advising on tax aspects of corporate transactions
  • In-depth knowledge of SDLT, VAT, and employment tax regulations
  • Strong analytical capabilities paired with a solid business-focused perspective
  • Ability to offer practical, clear tax advice
