Role Overview:

This role involves delivering expert tax advisory services across a wide array of corporate transactions and real estate projects. The team combines deep analytical skills with a business-oriented approach, addressing diverse tax matters including VAT, Stamp Duty, and SDLT. Comprising both tax lawyers and chartered tax advisors, the team offers practical, tailored solutions to a varied client base, such as owner-managed businesses, private equity groups, real estate investors, and funds. Primary duties include advising on business exit strategies, offshore structuring, corporate group reorganisations, and employment tax issues, particularly in relation to redundancy planning.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Providing in-depth tax advice on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring
  • Guiding clients on matters related to SDLT, VAT, and employment-related tax issues
  • Delivering clear, actionable guidance on a wide range of tax concerns
  • Utilising analytical and commercial expertise to support tax planning for corporate deals
  • Collaborating with a team of tax lawyers and advisors to develop comprehensive tax strategies
  • Assisting in planning for exit strategies, offshore arrangements, and remuneration packages

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience as a tax specialist
  • Proven experience in advising on tax aspects of corporate transactions
  • Strong understanding of SDLT, VAT, and employment taxes
  • Excellent analytical capabilities with a solid commercial focus
  • Ability to deliver practical, straightforward tax advice
