This firm is offering an exciting and diverse role with opportunities for personal and professional growth. They are looking for a collaborative individual who is equally confident in working autonomously. The position entails managing various compliance tasks, including the preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and estates. There may also be responsibilities related to the completion of Capital Gains Tax returns, Inheritance Tax accounts, and Trust Registration filings.
Additional responsibilities may involve handling enquiries from HM Revenue & Customs and contributing to various tax advisory initiatives. This role offers the chance to apply your technical knowledge, providing exceptional service to a designated client portfolio, overseeing Self Assessment tax returns, and assisting with the development of junior team members, depending on your level of experience.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years’ recent experience in a personal tax role, or a mixed role with significant personal tax responsibilities.
- ATT qualification (or higher) preferred. Support for further qualifications, such as CTA, may be considered if applicable.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and client expectations.
- Experience in managing a client portfolio.
- Knowledge of budgeting and billing is desirable but not essential.
- Proficiency in ICT, including MS Word, Excel, and accounting/tax software. Familiarity with CCH software is an advantage.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to engage with clients and present information clearly.
- A detail-oriented and diligent approach to work.
