About the Role

Opportunity in a Big 4 firm.

This firm seeks a skilled and experienced Advisor to join the Private Capital Tax team.  This firm’s Private Capital Tax team delivers a comprehensive range of tax advisory and compliance services for non-listed (i.e., privately held) financial services organisations, covering UK and international tax concerns for the business, its owners, employees, and other stakeholders. The team also serves ultra-high-net-worth individuals and high-profile clients, providing counsel on both personal tax matters and the management of business assets or investment structures, such as trusts, funds, and family companies. These services encompass asset management firms, fintech enterprises, and other non-listed financial services entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing tax advisory services across a range of topics, including UK corporation tax, international tax, income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and other relevant UK and international tax matters.
  • Working with a portfolio of long-term accounts, building strong relationships, and acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Conducting in-person, verbal, and written communications with clients.
  • Collaborating with other offices both within the UK and internationally.
  • Liaising with HM Revenue & Customs and other external entities, including major financial institutions, law firms, and wealth advisory firms.

Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Proven experience providing UK tax advice, with expertise in some or all of the areas listed above.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills, adaptable to various levels.
  • High attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering work to a high professional standard.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, with adaptability to new platforms.

Essential Qualifications

  • Initiative, professionalism, and confidence.
  • Experience in UK tax.
  • An appropriate qualification (e.g., CTA, CA (ICAS), ACA, or ATT).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
